    SEELEY LAKE – On the morning of Oct. 16, Mike Boltz, owner of the Seeley Lake Motor Lodge, looked out his kitchen window to see one of his septic tank pumps and its piping laying on the surface of the ground. Unfortunately it was not entirely a surprise for Boltz who said it was the fourth time his septic system has been the target of vandalism in the last six months.     The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks added a pair of wins to their record last week defeating Plains and the Clark Fork Co-op. The Lady Blackhawks made quick work of Plains Oct. 15 putting them down in three games, 25-12, 25-9 and 25-19. More than a third of the Lady Blackhawks’ points came from aces and kills. Dani Sexton and Jordan Johnson had 3 aces each while Klaire Kovatch and Sariah Maughan had 2 aces each.     SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks hosted the Arlee Warriors for their last home game of the season Oct. 17. The Blackhawks came out strong scoring a touchdown in the opening minutes and then following up with another with four minutes remaining in the first quarter.     SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks defeated the Victor Pirates for their homecoming game Oct. 10. The Lady Blackhawks took game one with ease, 25-11, but had a little more trouble with the Pirates in game two.     SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks hosted the Darby Tigers for their homecoming Oct. 9. The Blackhawks offense got off to a rough start after the Tiger's kickoff. They bobbled the first snap of the game, giving the Tigers the ball on the Blackhawks' 23-yard line.     PHILIPSBURG – The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks headed up Flint Creek to face the Titans Oct. 2. The Blackhawks had a good opening drive, marching the ball all the way down to within the 10-yard line before being shut down by the Titan’s defense.     THOMPSON FALLS – The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks traveled to take on the Blue Hawks in Thompson Falls Sept. 11. It was brutal game for the Blackhawks. They were down 22 points by the end of the first quarter and 38 by the half. While the second half wasn’t quite the blowout of the first, they fell 0-52.     Sunday, Aug. 6, marked the 75th anniversary of the United States dropping an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima, Japan.     MISSOULA – District Court Judge Leslie Halligan denied the Seeley Lake Sewer District’s motion for award of attorney’s fees against Don Larson but granted the District its Verified Bill of Costs totaling $510.24. Halligan declined to rule on a motion by the Plaintiffs to disqualify the District’s attorney Jon Beal. Halligan dismissed the lawsuit that was filed by Larson in June of 2018 on May 21, 2020.
