    SEELEY LAKE – Seeley Lake Volunteer firefighters responded to the Wilderness Sportsman’s Gun Range on Cottonwood Lakes Road July 12 around 12:15 p.m. for a tire fire. The fire was confined to the tires in the pistol range and one engine was able to extinguish the burn. Fire Chief Dave Lane said there was potentially a tracer round used in the pistol range. “We don’t know for sure but that would make sense,” said Lane after receiving conflicting witness statements.     SWAN VALLEY - Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks captured a male grizzly bear south of Condon and euthanized it because it was food conditioned and had a history of approaching residences. FWP personnel captured the bear on the night of July 2 with a culvert trap at Grace's Greenhouse. The bear was estimated to be three years old and weighed 299 pounds. Law enforcement officials are seeking additional information regarding who was involved in the destruction of a snow blower that was pushed off SSHS’s roof.     SEELEY LAKE - Spectators gathered at the Wagon Wheel Bridge across the Clearwater River the afternoon July Fourth to see whose rubber duck was the fastest. Due to the high water, the first ducks crossed the finish line in less than 10 minutes, half the time of the average race.     SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Fire Board approved $50,000 for the purchase of a used Type 6 Wildland Fire Engine at a special meeting June 13.
